Fan Mail: How About a Nice Cup of Shut the Fuck Up

Fan Mail | Posted by Pesico
Feb 13 2012

Like every other famous games journalist out there, I get fan mail all the time. I figured I’d make a feature on the site for the more interesting ones. HafuGirl sent this on PSN to me. It was a message with a picture. Of course all in caps. It read:

“CONGRATS YOUR A DUMBASS”

Embeded was this picture:

After making all these blog posts today, I was very happy to get some fan mail, so I answered back as politely as I could (after checking that HafuGirl has 66 trophies and none of them are Platinums), I thought I should motivate HafuGirl to get some.

“Sweet. Thanks dude. It tasted really good. How about you go earn yourself a platinum trophy eh?”.

That’s was the first edition of fan mail. May there be many more.

PS: I do know I’m not famous, and I don’t really get much fan mail.

GTA Stories Games (PSP) Playable on PS Vita in Europe

PlayStation Vita | Posted by Pesico
Feb 13 2012

A few days ago, SCEA announced the 100 PSP games that will be playable on PS Vita in North America. Lots of gamers were disapointed that none of the GTA games was on the lists. Keep in mind that another 275 titles will be playable on PS Vita in North America not long after launch.

SCEE has been tightlipped on the matter, but I have been testing the two PSP games I’ve been most interested in. Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories. I’m happy to confirm that both of them works with European SEN accounts. If you don’t know what a SEN account is, it’s Sony Entertainment Network Account, the new name for PSN accounts now. But I digress. I wasn’t allowed to take screenshots in the games, but here are a few pictures, one with the game icons on my homescreen, and one each for their respective Live Area screens. You can access the game manuals (who reads those?) on the LiveArea screens.

So how do you get these games on your PS Vita now that the EU Store still isn’t open? Just download them from the EU Store from your PS3. Don’t install them. When downloaded, connect your PS Vita to your PS3 with the USB cable and open up Content Manager. From there, select the games you want to copy over and enjoy.

Asphalt: Injection – Trophy List

PlayStation Vita, Trophylist | Posted by Pesico
Feb 07 2012

Asphalt: Injection is a racing title with a complete multiplayer component, as in, you can race against other people online face to face. The trophy list make no effort to hide that as you have to win 100 races online among other things to get the Platinum. The list contains 1 Platinum, 5 Gold, 9 Silver and 19 Bronze trophies worth 1,185 PSN (or is that SEN now?) trophy points. It also appears that the game stacks, meaning you can get 2 Platinums for this game. One for the EU/US version and one for the Japanese version of the game.
