Uncharted 3: Flashback Map Pack #1 Releasing Without New Trophies?

Around the release of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, people could buy the Fortune Hunters Club membership, that would render 3 skin packs and 4 map packs free. We’ve got the Skin Packs, and now it’s time for the map packs. According to the official PlayStation website for Hong Kong, Flashback Map Pack #1 will release on January 17th. It’s safe to assume the same date applies to US, and 18th applying for EU.

This map pack will include 4 revamped maps from Uncharted 2. I have a few worries about it though. It’s not normal at all that they just release this with at least a week or two notice before hand. My second point of worry is that when I compare trophies with friends, I’m still at 100% trophy count. We usually see DLC trophies added at least a week before the DLC is released.

I’m personally still exited about getting some new maps, but I’m gonna be very disappointed if they don’t add more trophies. Was it because people complained about DLC trophies in Uncharted 2? Well Naughty Dog, Sony, or whoever is in charge, if you please those who complained about that, guess who’s gonna be complaining now? Those who want trophies. It’s impossible to please everyone.

Update: Further proof that we won’t see trophies, at least in the first map pack is that Naughty Dog released a patch a couple of days ago, that for the most part prepared for the new DLC. They probably would have added a trophy tracker like they did with Uncharted 2 if they added trophies for it.

While the bigger trophy sites don’t dare to touch the PS Vita trophy lists, I decided that I want to spread the word, for any games that I can. Keep in mind that since the Vita is only out in Japan, some lists are only in Japanese. I’m only able to share trophy lists in English, and lists that I can compare based on what people on my friends list has. Thankfully I have a couple of Sony employees on my list, and that helps out. Today I’m sharing the list for WipEout 2048, and yes, it’s time to beat Zico again. The list has 1 Platinum, 6 Gold, 9 Silver and 15 Bronze trophies, totaling out at 1,215 PSN trophy points.

This is WipEout! (P)

Jan 10 2012

Uncharted: Golden Abyss is the most anticipated game when it releases on February 22nd in US and EU. It’s been out in Japan since December 17th and I just got all the trophies in the game. Golden Abyss has 56 trophies, 1 Platinum, 2 Gold, 5 Silver and 48 Bronze trophies, totaling 1,230 PSN trophy points, which is the max amount of point for base trophies . One of the Bronze is a secret trophy, and the last trophy on the list. No real story spoilers, so don’t be afraid to look. Click on the images for the full-res versions.

Welcome Park is collection of small mini games that introduce you to PS Vitas different functionalities, like front- and rear touch, the camera and Sixaxis. It comes included with every PS Vita and offers trophy support. It has 1 gold trophy, 1 silver trophy and 11 bronze trophies worth 285 points. A little lower than the usual 315 points you get with PSN games, but you get it for free, so it’s not bad. Below is the list itself, complete with pictures. Click on the pictures to see the full-res version of them.

Note: The first trophy in the 3rd picture is the same as the last trophy in the 2nd picture.

Trophies on PS Vita

PlayStation Vita released in Japan on December 17th, and I got my import PS Vita last Thursday. I’ve been playing around with it for a few days now and I’m very happy with it. Uncharted: Golden Abyss was what I was most exited about, but I was also very exited to get trophies on a handheld.

PS Vita

Here are some details for people that might not know yet. The most important part is that if you use the same PSN account on your Vita as you do on your PS3, the trophies you get will add to the same total. Anything else would be weird, but it’s nice to confirm this. There is one issue at the moment though. You can’t see PS Vita trophy lists from your PS3. You will see that your trophy amount increases, but the actual trophy lists or trophy pictures won’t appear from a PS3. A little weird considering you see both Vita and PS3 lists on the Vita. I assume this will be fixed in time for the US/EU release on February 22nd, but in the mean time, I intend to publish a few trophy lists including pictures (at least for the most part) until the big trophy sites gets hold of them. They usually refuse to put them up there when they can’t get them from an official source.

I just completed Welcome Park so that will be the first list. Look for that in the following blog post. Uncharted: Golden Abyss will be next, but I intend to complete the game on Crushing first, if not get all trophies. So that might take a week or two before I publish.
