4th Batch of Seasonal Events in GT5 – JGTC/SUPER GT Edition

Late last night, 5 new seasonal events was added, and at the same time, the 2nd batch expired. Looks like the seasonal events will change up once a week and that you have 2 weeks to finish anyone event. It continues to be no requirements for them, except the car obviously, which means the events are as hard or as easy as you want them to be. Read on to find my tips on how to do them and get a profit of Cr. 3,3 million and gain 350,000 worth of Experience.

High Speed Ring in the Tom's Supra

In the first race you have to race in a Mitsubishi i-MiEV ’09 and there aren’t much options for improvements on the car, but luckily, you won’t need it either. I was able to overtake the 1st place car on lap 4. Next up we move to Grand Valley Speedway to drive the Volvo C30 R-Design ’09. This time around, you may want to add some better tires and spruce up the BHP a little.

Race number 3 is on Daytona Road Course and you’re driving the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ’08. Keep in mind that you may allready have it as it’s a prize car for winning the Muscle Car Championship in A-Spec. I recommend some cheap BHP upgrades. The car comes with Sports Hard tires, which should be good enough.

Then we move along to the “Green Hell” or in other words, the amazing and demanding 20km track of Nürburgring Nordschleife (1 Lap), and you have the option of chosing between 3 different Golfs. I chose the Volkswagen Golf V GTI ’05, fitted it with Soft Sports tires and again, some cheap BHP upgrades and 1st place was mine.

The final race and the highlight of this batch of seasonal events takes us to High Speed Ring (8 Laps) and you have to use JGTC or Super GT cars. So you have a lot of options of what you can drive. The cheapest option would be to use the Toyota Castrol Tom’s Supra ’97 (I had to add a High RPM Turbo Kit to it, and I also set max speed to 330KM/H – 205MPH) which can be won in the Super GT B-Spec race. If you don’t have it and don’t want to race that race, you can pick up the Lamborghini NOMAD Diablo GT-1 ’00 for about Cr. 734K in the Online Collector’s Dealership. You don’t need to do anything with the car (do an Oil Change though) and you’ll win this one easily (1:03 laps). There is also a good chance that you have picked up a valid car with a LV 21 ticket. So check your garage.

Online Collector’s Dealership
As usual, the Online Collector’s Dealership updated at the same time as the seasonal events and this time, there are loads of JGTC and Super GT cars to chose from. A highlight for me is obviously the Mazda Furai Concept ’08 which I wrote about earlier about my manic need to collect it in different colors and sure enough, in my store it was in Gran Turismo Silver, a color I do not have it in. So I picked up my 8th Furai. For anyone needing to get to LV 24 to get the Formula Gran Turismo, there is no reason to be afraid, as this car continues to be there.

That is all that is worth mentioning. Be sure to check out my Race Series Guide for GT5 which covers the seasonal events.
